Dragonflies date back to 300 million years ago and today there are over 5,000 different types.  They have four wings and eat other insects.  they are considered to be beneficial predators so don't confuse them with mosquitoes and try to kill them.  Leave them alone and enjoy watching them as they buzz around your territory
